Here's a note from Chuck Rohrer, asking for support for a proposed resolution on committing our city to clean energy. (Chuck is a member of the Wauwatosa Sustainability Committee.) It's a great opportunity for Wauwatosa to be a state leader in a worthy effort.
I am really excited about Wauwatosa's clean energy future.
I have been a member and past chair of the Wauwatosa Sustainability Committee since its inception in 2008 as the Energy Committee. The Committee, a citizen committee that advises the Common Council, has been busy putting together a proposed clean energy resolution for the City of Wauwatosa. The proposed resolution envisions a transition to 100% clean energy for the City by 2050. Among the many benefits are reduced local air pollution, doing our part to combat the climate crisis, and contributing to an end to exporting billions of dollars from Wisconsin every year for energy.
