The League of Women Voters are recommending citizens contact their state legislators about the following bills:
-
Opposing AB 427 requiring the DPI to create a firearms training curriculum
At a time when funds for the fundamental responsibilities of public education are seriously inadequate. -
Opposing August 2017 Special Session AB 1 (the “Foxconn bill”)
We need some due diligence on this before we give a huge tax giveaway so Scott Walker and Paul Ryan can win political points - Urging support in the state budget for the transportation needs of our aging and disabilities communities.
Now your representatives need to hear from you:
- Please contact your State Assembly Representative and direct her/him to oppose both AB 427 and the Foxconn bill (August 2017 Special Session AB 1).
- Contact both your State Senator and Assembly Representative and tell them the state budget should support transit for our aging and disabilities communities, so people can get to work and school and fully participate in their communities.
