Recent polling shows that taxing the rich is overwhelmingly supported by Americans, with 75% of all likely 2020 voters backing it. This strong support extends across party lines, with 90 percent of Democrats, 70 percent of Independents and 60 percent of Republicans in favor of higher taxes for the rich. In fact, when asked what they think the biggest problem with our tax code is, a majority say it’s that the rich and corporations DON’T pay their fair share.
The Tax the Rich Bus Tour puts that message front and center in the presidential primary debate and empowers local electeds, activists, and national organizations to hold Republicans accountable for the GOP Tax Scam and share why they believe the rich and corporations must pay their fair share.
