Tax Reform: The next battle

The battle over the Obamacare "repeal and replace" taught us two important lessons:

  1. The Republican members of Congress have either not plans or lousy plans. With more than 7 years to to come up with a plan that improves Americans' health care they came up with:
     -- cut Medicaid
-- cut taxes for the wealthy
  2. Though the GOP controls the White House (sort of) and both houses of Congress, active, intelligent resistance works.

It's time to bring our resistance to bear on the next lousy GOP plan, tax reform.

Is Scott Walker Foxconning us?

For a long time, corporations have been luring job-starved states into bidding wars, conning them into tax breaks for setting up shop in the locations subsidized by the highest bidder.

Why a constitutional convention?

The Wisconsin State Assembly’s call for a constitutional convention – supposedly to pass a balanced budget amendment – may be a chance for the public to finally declare total war on ALEC, the right wing organization responsible for some of the most reprehensible legislation coming out of GOP-held state legislatures across the country.
