Indivisible Tosa and Milwaukee DSA are co-sponsoring a training aimed at educating everyone of their fundamental rights when protesting, marching or otherwise interacting with police.
Please join Indivisible Tosa and the Milwaukee DSA as we welcome Kimberly Motley for a presentation and Q&A about the basic rights to which we are all entitled. Whether you intend to exercise your first amendment rights to protest or have ever been unsure of what rights you have when contacted by law enforcement.
This presentation will take place at the Hart Park Rotary Pavillion at Hart Park at 1190 N 70th St, Wauwatosa, WI 53213, and will also be broadcast on zoom at August 6 at 11:00 am.
Kimberly Motley is a native Milwaukeean and an international human rights attorney. Attorney Motley currently represents families who have been directly impacted by the actions of the Wauwatosa Police Department. In her presentation, Attorney Motley will reference her book, LAWLESS, which is scheduled to be released in the U.S. in October 2020. Copies of LAWLESS will be offered for sale at the event to cover the costs of Attorney Motley's pending open records requests with the City of Wauwatosa and the Wauwatosa Police Department.
