“Can someone win (an election) without talk radio? Yes, theoretically. Except no
one has.” - (Charlie Sykes, NY Times, 4/4/16)

“It is true. Without conservative talk radio Governor Scott Walker likely doesn’t survive his recall and Justice Rebecca Bradley would have lost her election last week.” – (Wisconsin talk radio host Jerry Bader, recent Blog).

Are you sick of the right-wing bias in Milwaukee area media?

Then do something about it and join us at a house party to support “Radio-Activeon Monday, May 9, 2016, 6:30 -  to 8 p.m.

Home of Ted Kraig and Stephanie Purvis
2839 N. 69th St.
Milwaukee, WI 53210

Radio-Active's mission is to break the grip of the right-wing media monopoly in Milwaukee and create broadcast venues where alternative progressive voices can be heard. Specifically:

  1. We will monitor right-wing radio, call out their biased and often hateful rhetoric, and demand accountability and fairness from the media corporations that own their stations.
  2. We will explore establishing a community-owned progressive talk radio station.

TO SUCCEED WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Media Team (part of Citizen Action’s Greater Milwaukee Organizing Cooperative), is conducting a 30-day fundraising blitz in order to hire a full time organizer to accomplish our goals.

  • Please join us at Ted Kraig’s house to sample some craft beer, soft drinks, snacks to learn more how you can break the right wing bias of talk radio in the Milwaukee area.
  • You can RSVP to Ted at [email protected] or 262-751-2863 or Tim Dwyer at [email protected] or 414-651-8849 at your convenience.
